So you want to attract luxury clients. But you don't even speak their language.
Did you know that you could actually be the one who's turning away the higher-paying clients and telling them go to other florists?
Are you hinting in your marketing that you are "affordable", you can give "discounts", you know that they're on a "budget"... no. No no no!
Instead of saying: "We know that weddings are expensive enough. We have affordable floral packages that will fit any budget. Take a look at our basic DIY options."
Luxury clients don't care about any of these things that you're telling them. They HAVE the money to spend, they don't care about free things that you will give them, they don't care about discounts, they're not really on a budget, they don't want packages that are the same as everyone else's, they don't want basic crap, and they don't have time to DIY anything.

I've always been glued to my phone because I thought I need to reply to emails right away. This is something you shouldn't be doing.
💫 You need to set boundaries for yourself and your family⁣
💫 You need to let clients know you are not there to answer them right away⁣
💫 It’s actually less efficient if you’re just replying to emails as they come in⁣
💫 You need to create a healthy work habits for yourself so that you can be sustainable⁣
Yes, I agree, getting back to clients a-sap will increase the likelihood that they will sign with you, but let's hold back on replying to inquiries and emails on the weekends and in the evening.⁣
Sometimes I still reply during off-hours too. Totally guilty!

Quick tip for floral business success: Always write things down! And I mean ALWAYS!
Do you often "know" that you will remember something for sure? Yup, I know that I will remember... but in reality, I don’t remember when I really need to. We just have too much on our minds as wedding floral designers!
Here are some things that I always write down:
💫 Packing List | I create a packing list for every single wedding. The first thing that's always on the list is my florist toolbox - you bet I've forgotten to load this into the van before!
💫 To-do List | I've a to-do list in ClickUp (task management system - but really, a good old pen and paper would do!)
i.e. to-do list for the business in general, to-do list for each wedding
💫 Flower Recipes| So I'm not doing them from scratch every single time and I can quote quickly based on past work.
💫 Personal Things I Learn About the Couples | They appreciate you for remembering when you bring it up next time
i.e. their dog's name, where they travelled to, how they met
💫 Meeting Notes | So you remember what you discussed and promised your couples.
Pro Tip: Send the notes back to the clients to ensure accuracy and they cannot argue in the future when it's in black and white
